The fundraiser I did at the Belmont Street Fair went pretty well. I decided to take pictures of doggies to raise money for the kitties, and have a look at these grinning sweeties.
I so wish I could have raised more money for the shelter, but it was something, plus it was fun.
Thank you, Brave, for being the lone smiling kitty in the bunch!
Check out Zig's latest performances at the Clash vs. Sex Pistols show that happened Saturday May 3rd at Berbati's in Portland. These kids are amazing, no?
After all that I've done in my life related to punk, and having the Clash and Sex Pistols as my life's soundtrack over the years, it was really mind-blowing to be watching my kid perform this stuff. No mama tears this time, but I did have to keep myself from starting a mosh pit!

I think we just found our favorite taqueria, and it's crazy close to our house. Woo hoo! Zig and I have both been on a quest to try all the taquerias in town, and so far have been a tad underwhelmed, but this place is damn good. Zig even gave his burrito a rare 9 out of 10 rating.
It's called Los Taquitos, 'home of the dancing taco', apparently. I'm not sure why or when they dance, and I haven't seen it myself, but I tasted one and it was mmm mmm good. The place has that authentic funky Mission ambiance that reminds me of the many delicioso El Farolito and Cancun burritos that sustained me for so many years in San Francisco, and the food didn't disappoint.
Yesterday we went to the Last Thursday art happening on Alberta street. There was a lot going on, but the only artist who lit my fire was Spenser Little, who does unbelievably amazing work with wire. Check out his work, peoples. So inspiring. I bought this piece after much indecision.
